As a person who has never lived in the US for more than a week or so, all Thanksgiving traditions are a little strange to me, starting with the presidential turkey pardon and ending with a very specific list of the Thanksgiving sides. Everything sure looks great on TV, but I have to admit I never ate a proper Thanksgiving dinner in my life. What's your favorite flavor combination on the Thanksgiving menu?
Broadly speaking I’m into thanksgiving for the sage. It’s the time of year that we use it more than any other time of the year. Sage in my apple pie, sage in my mashed potatoes, in my cranberry sauce, on the turkey, there is no bad place for it!
Old movies are magic, I come for the stuffing, and the best pie is non-fruit pie.
Oooh! What kind of stuffing? That’s the one thing we do a different version of every year!

Sage in apple pie sounds amazing.
It really is. I usually make the Sister Pie recipe which you can find here: https://tastecooking.com/recipes/apple-sage-gouda-pie/
Beautiful post, Mia! I hit the wrong button, I meant to write absolutely!” 🤣
